My Theory on How Washing Your Hair Can Change Your Mood

Writer: kameronhall.uccokameronhall.ucco

Lately, I've been feeling a little under the weather. I've been going through a lot in my household, and I've honestly felt like I've just needed to scream. So today, I decided to reset and relax.

Now, I'm no expert in hair care, and my hair gets mistreated daily because of it. But today, I washed my hair, and I believe that I have discovered something magnificent.

The Power of Water

On a majority of days, I am a pretty positive person. But due to the stressors of everyday life hitting me at once, I've started thinking negatively about life in general. I've honestly never felt this stressed. It's been hard to focus. It's been hard to be proactive. It's been hard to get everything done.

Due to my hair type, I don't wash my hair every day. I don't wash it every one to two weeks as I should either (As I said, I'm no expert in hair care). But today, after all of the strive of the past weeks, I washed my hair. Before we get into the meat and potatoes of this theory, I want to talk about what water is and what it signifies.

Water is oxygen and hydrogen, scientifically. But what is water spiritually? For me, I know that water retains memory. They say that is not a proven fact, only because there is no way to prove it. Plus, I've seen too many movies on it, so that's what I say to science. Water is the renewal of life. It is the flow and the foundation of life. Water was here when the world began, and it will be here when the world ends. Water is in everything natural, even your hair.

My Theory

We're going to make water retaining memory a concrete fact for this theory. If the water in my hair captures memories, then the emotions that I have been feeling have recorded themselves in my hair. Correct? So theoretically, those negative emotions have a direct connection to my brain. This direct connection could affect how my brain functions. Correct?

Now, it's been probably about an hour since I washed my hair. After the wash, I discovered that I've started feeling light, airy, positive, proactive, and focused again. My brain fog has lifted, I'm writing this blog, and I'm getting stuff done. So with that clarification, here's my theory. When you wash your hair, you're cleansing yourself from the emotions of the past. You're starting anew. You're releasing those memories and that energy and replacing it with a fresh start.

I feel like I'm on to something. But maybe I'm wrong. I'll keep trying my theory, and you all tell me what you've experienced after you've washed your hair.
